Maxwell’s today’s unbelievable knock made fingers under teeth to see what seems unexpected and unbelievable by all when Australia were 91/7 when it seems Australia is about to taste the defeat in hands of Afghanistan.
Earlier in the 39th match of WC Cricket 2023 when Afghanistan ,the impressive first world cup appearance, made 291/5 with good knocks from Ibrahim 129 runs and other contribution make a comfortable position to have a good competition with Australia .
The 2nd innings start of Australia was very much pathetic and seems as if it will be bowled out under 100 runs, as they were 91/7 at one point of the game ,but ,the individual brilliance of Glenn Maxwell and the best unbeaten support of Australian Captain Pat Cummins blocked the other end though in the historical partnership of unbeaten 202* for the 8th wicket was commendable and need much applause as Cummins just made a few runs but did not allow Afghanistan to bowl him out.
This game really brought laurels for Maxwell’s individual brilliance as Single handed leading from the front and snatched the victory from the jaws of Afghan’s who were very near to win this match to make their hopes alive for the semis but could not make it done as their wishes and efforts .
It was a great match of the History of World Cup Cricket with a few records ,like the first 200 knock by an individual and the 8th Wicket Australian record of 202* unbeaten and winning against the team with style and showing their class.
